It's an AI opinion, clearly labelled as AI, and it does not replace human authentication. The expert verdict is a professional opinion and certificate from LegitGrails, a human-expert specialist — the credible choice for a high-value bag. Start with the AI check for a quick read; step up to the expert verdict when the decision warrants it.
Who decides if my bag is authentic?
For the expert verdict, LegitGrails — an independent authentication specialist — issues the verdict and the certificate in their own name. For the AI check, the assessment is generated by Vaultik's AI. In both cases Orange Peel arranges the check, handles your photos and payment, and delivers the result — we never author or guarantee a verdict ourselves.
How long does it take?
The fast lane returns a result within about a day of submitting clear photos (LegitGrails' standard turnaround runs from 30 minutes to 12 hours; complex cases take longer). You'll get an email the moment it's ready.
What if the result is inconclusive?
If LegitGrails can't reach a verdict from your photos, we'll first ask you to re-shoot the flagged angles. If it's still inconclusive, we refund you in full — we never keep our margin on a non-verdict.
What happens to my photos?
They're used only for this check and stored privately in a bucket that is never public. A scheduled job deletes them 180 days after your order closes — or 30 days from your last edit if you start an order and never submit it. 180 days rather than a shorter window because a card chargeback can arrive up to about 120 days after payment and your photos are our evidence the work was done. They are never made public, never used to train anything, and never tied to the rest of your account data. The one exception is opt-in: at intake there is an unticked box you may tick to let us keep a photo as an anonymous reference example of that bag specification — nothing linking it to you comes with it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Is this a guarantee?
No. It's a professional opinion from an independent specialist. Even the best authenticators can be contradicted — the certificate reflects LegitGrails' expert assessment, not a promise from Orange Peel.
